Day 01 :

Faizabad Exploration & Spiritual Sites

Historic City Walk – Faizabad: Begin with a walking tour through the capital of
Badakhshan, nestled along the Kokcha River.
Shrine of Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani: Visit the spiritual and historical tomb of the 14thcentury Sufi scholar and poet, highly revered in the region.
Local Market Visit: Explore Faizabad’s colorful bazaar, filled with traditional
Badakhshani jewelry, lapis lazuli stones, and unique mountain herbs.
Evening by the Kokcha River: A peaceful walk or tea session beside the river, soaking in
the fresh mountain air.

Day 02 :

Nature & History – Adventure to Baharak or Zebak

Scenic Drive to Baharak or Zebak:
o Baharak: A town with deep historical roots and picturesque valleys. Visit ancient
sites, interact with villagers, and enjoy views of fertile meadows.
o Zebak: Known for its Ismaili heritage, unique architecture, and alpine beauty—
ideal for light trekking and cultural discovery.
Village Experience: Engage with local traditions, try Badakhshani bread, and observe
daily life in remote mountainous communities.
Return to Faizabad in the evening.

Day 03 :

Mountains, Minerals & Farewell Reflections

Lapis Lazuli Experience (Optional Visit to Mining Area or Local Display): Learn about
the legendary stone of Badakhshan—once prized by pharaohs and emperors.
Short Hike or Hilltop Viewpoint: A gentle climb for panoramic views of the mountains
and valleys, perfect for photography and reflection.
Final Souvenir Stop: Purchase local handcrafted items or herbal products unique to
Badakhshan
